Los Pericos is a very welcoming family owned restaurant. As soon as you come in, you have to pick your own seating area.The murals add a nice touch to the atmosphere.The staff is very friendly. A lady greeted us with a very heartwarming, "How are you?". We started off with their complimentary chips and salsa. They also have a self serve salsa bar with several fresh salsas that are made in house. Each salsa has its own unique taste. The chips are freshly made with their soft corn tortillas. Everyone in our part decided to get their cheese enchiladas. I ordered the chico platter which came with rice,beans,and a small salad. We also got their soft corn tortillas on the side. They also do free refills (chips).

PRO TIP:
Don't get a lot of refills, then you won't be able to eat all of your food or you will end up wasting a lot of chips. Also do not drink too much water or any drink because you will regret not having enough space for your food. The portions are large and you will most likely want to finish the whole thing.
PRO TIP: You have all of this amazing sauce left. What do you do? You get soft corn tortillas and eat it with the sauce. Always get corn tortillas with your order, you can also eat it with the rice and beans.
What it is: Enchiladas are ingredients rolled into a tortilla. They are covered in sauce and they are oven baked.
The verdict: The dish comes with a salad,rice,beans, and an enchilada. The sauce is mild and flavorful at the same time. The cheese melts beautifully and it pairs perfectly with any of their fresh salsas. The salad is nice and fresh but I decided to get it out of the way by eating it first so I could really get into the good stuff. The rice is seasoned perfectly and the beans are smooth. Everything comes straight out of the oven hot and steamy. The portion size is perfect, but it can feel heavy if one has had too much water or too many chips beforehand.
